Well, we have wrapped up another very successful pickleball season here at Ole. And that is largely due to the energy, enthusiasm, and generosity our players bring to the courts and to all of our events!
Planning for next year is already underway and the '27 season will bring about a few changes to Ole pickleball.
Due to this year’s popularity, we have decided to increase the number of our walk-on, leveled play-theme events (Funday Monday-type) and replace PicklePalooza tournament with our Ladder League as our major competitive event. It will be expanded for the 2027 season to include better skill leveling for the men and, possibly, a fixed-partner league. We will not host a Glo event this year and instead, will explore options for possibly having an outside vendor hosting it sometime in the future. And, for the season's end of year party, we will return to a potluck format for our celebration.
We are proud of our website rollout and plan to keep it updated .
Moving forward, thIs website will be our primary source of information for anything Ole Pickleball-related.* Dates and event information will be posted there as well as any change announcements. If you haven’t visited us yet, please take a look around the website and let us know if you have any suggestions for making it as user friendly as possible.
This is just a preview of what’s ahead but, as always, we welcome your volunteerism, ideas and involvement—all are what make our pickleball community so strong.
Speaking of volunteers, we’d like to extend a special thank you to our Funday Monday chairs this year: Beth and Kirk Wolfe for January’s Jammin Pickleball, and Bobbi and Joe Fillaggi for February’s King and Queen of the Court event. We are also very grateful to everyone who contributed to our ball and clinic funds this year and to those who have made non-specific donations to our pickleball club this year and in the past. It is your continued support that makes Ole such a special place to play, party, and connect.
Remember, we’ll be posting updates on the website, including 2027 dates, in the coming weeks. And, if you have any photos of this season’s shenanigans, email them here, and we will upload what we can to the website!
Until next year, wishing you a safe, healthy, and play-filled summer. We look forward to seeing familiar faces in ‘27 and to welcoming new players!

Melda Bolton
